About Us

The Trans-Atlantic Cancer Alliance for Liquid Biopsy Research and Training (TALenT) is a project co-created by patients, clinicians and scientists that brings together liquid biopsy experts from the All-Ireland Cancer Liquid Biopsies Consortium (CLuB) and the National Cancer Institute in the USA.

TALenT aims to (i) advance novel liquid biopsy screening tools, in the clinic, for improved patient surveillance and treatment decision-making and (ii) establish a Trans-Atlantic, inter-organisational, scientific exchange programme to educate the next generation of clinical researchers and inform patients and relevant stakeholders about the latest liquid biopsy technological advancements. 

This initiative is supported by the Health Research Board All-Ireland NCI Cancer Consortium Research and Innovation grant.

Mission Statement

TALenT’s mission is to establish a TransAtlantic collaborative network of liquid biopsy experts that will share knowledge and resources and train the next generation of clinical researchers. Our collective expertise will expediate the development and implementation of novel screening assays into the clinic to ensure better treatment outcomes and improved patient care.
