Research Assistant at TCD

Hannah graduated from UCD in 2024 with a BSc in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology. For her final-year research project, she investigated the effect of a novel microtubule-targeting agent, PBOX-15, on TRAIL-induced NF-κB activation in acute lymphoblastic leukaemia cells, which sparked her interest in cancer research. After graduating, she began working in her current role as a research assistant in the Thoracic Oncology Research Group at Trinity College Dublin. In this role, Hannah assists in maintaining the lung cancer biobank, which involves processing blood samples and collecting healthcare data from patients with non-small cell lung cancer. In her blog post ‘Biobanking with Hannah’, she provides more detail on biobanking and its role in the TALenT project.
